Meet the Artist
Hi, I’m Becky!
I’m a fine artist with over 40 years of experience in the commissioned art industry. I specialize in pen and ink as well as watercolor, but also enjoy working with all drawing and painting mediums. I started doing home and building portraits in 1989 and fell in love with capturing the essence of spaces that people have put their heart and soul into. I commissioned artwork in the architecture world for many years, but have since transitioned to creating custom works of art for families, realtors, and businesses. My hope is to create beautiful pieces that remind people of the warmth and life in their homes for years to come.

“Becky’s work has become a collectible in our family. Every time someone moves or gets a new house, they can’t wait to get a portrait from her.”

A New Chapter
At the start of 2026, I made plans to leave my job, and begin my new career as a full time artist; something I’ve always dreamed of. And so, a new venture was born: New Chapter Fine Arts. When my husband of 40 years, Drew, (pictured here) suddenly passed shortly after this decision, I realized God had other plans for what “new chapter” really meant. Drew was a constant source of excitement and encouragement to everyone who knew him. And while I never imagined doing this without him, I can’t help but hear his voice telling me, “Why not?”
Like our homes, new chapters tell new stories that are shaped by the memories of our old ones. With this new venture, there are plenty of new stories to tell, while I bring along a lifetime of shared stories filled with adventure and love. I look forward to writing some new chapters together, after all why not!
House Portraits

Why Custom Art?
In a world of technology, we’re all looking for evidence of a human touch. The slight indentation of a pen on paper, the perfectly imperfect asymmetry of a brushstroke, the texture of paint. Getting a real artist to complete a custom piece of art is the peak of elegance and the truest form of connection.

Who is This For?
Custom house portraits are a great gift to preserve a moment in time. Imagine your parents are moving out of your childhood home and you want everyone to have a memory of what it felt like to live there, including the crooked shutters in the front that you always loved. This is also the perfect gift to a realty client to congratulate them on their new home or for a business opening their first brick and mortar.

How Do I Get a
Commissioned Work?
When you’re ready to get your own custom portrait of a place meaningful to you, send me an email! From there, I’ll get photos of the home and talk with you about specific design elements like size, watercolor accents, or additional embellishments that make the final piece really feel like home. Turn around time for a finished work is 2-6 weeks, but I can often accommodate if you have a specific deadline.
As art will often do, these portraits evoke memories and mark celebrations, and once they’re hanging on a wall, they can be beautiful conversation starters that give you the opportunity to share your stories with others
